Today I have a couple of fun cards featuring the Love Paw Word and Shadow die to share with you.

I really love this die and it lends itself to various card designs easily. For this first card I went pretty clean and simple with just the die and a cute little dog image from the Puppy Dog Kisses stamp set. I cute out the word die from a light purple cardstock and added some simple shading with my Ohuhu alcohol markers. Then, I also coloured the dog image with my markers. For the sub-sentiment I made a white on black sentiment strip with one of the sentiments from the Puppy Dog Kisses stamp set.

I decided the background needed something. So I added a bit of black splatter before I adhered everything to my cardfront. As a finishing touch, I added some clear Nuvo Drops to the puppy’s nose for a bit of shine.

My second card with the Love Paw die is an 5 x 7″ card because I needed a bit more space for this design. I started by ink blending a cardstock panel with distress inks and then splattered it with water to get that fun distress effect. I also added some gold splatter because I couldn’t resist!

After the ink blended panel dried, I die cut the Love Paw three times from it. The Love Paw die cuts out the word in two pieces and to cover the background panel nicely, I reversed the word in the middle. This gives the effect of a repeating pattern across the cardfront.

I added two sentiments from the Puppy Dog Kisses stamp set and finished the card with a bunch of gold pearls.

I hope you liked my cards and reading about how I created them. Let me know which is you favourite down in the comments!
