It might be dreary January outside, but we can pretend it is spring in our craft rooms!
I used the new Spring Chicks are Back in Town stamp and die set from Picket Fence Studios newest release for this card. To start off with I used Snowdrop White Paper Glaze and the Brick and Morter Stencil to create a background. I stencilled the brick wall onto a light grey piece of cardstock which I had cut to 3.75 X 5 inches.
While the background was drying, I stamped and coloured the images I wanted to use. When I was colouring, I added some dot details to the images to add texture. Once they were all coloured I die cut the images out. While I had my die cut machine out, I also die cut some grass tufts using the Scene Building Grass Tufts and I coloured the grass with my alcohol markers.
Once the brick background was finished drying, I assembled the card. I used foam squares to pop up the chicken and her chicks as well as two of the grass tufts. I also popped up the sentiment with foam squares. To finish, I added some sparkle with the Spring is Hopping Sequin mix.
