I have some exciting news!
I am starting with the Picket Fence Studios design team this month!
I am so incredibly excited for this opportunity. Picket Fence Studios has long been one of my favourite craft companies and I am over the moon to have the opportunity to work with an amazing team of designers to create inspiration featuring their lovely products!
My first card features the Wreath Building Potted Plants stamp set which is perfect both for creating wreaths with a tool like a Stampwheel and for adding to scenes! I love the size of these potted plants and they work perfectly to decorate windows. For this card I created a window frame using the A2 Rectangle Scene Building One die. I layered three of these die cut frames together for some dimension. Next I stencilled on some designs onto each of the inside window pieces that the die cuts out. I used a different colour and different stencil for each because I wanted them all to look like different rooms.
I stamped out all the potted plant images plus a cat from the You Deserve to Be Spoiled stamp set and coloured them all with my Ohuhu Alcohol markers. Then I cut out the images and started putting together my card. After I had decided on my layout, I stamped the “Thank You” sentiment into the lower right window using a black ink. I had one extra potted plant image and one extra cat since I stamped extra so I decided to add these to the inside of the card along with a sentiment from the You Deserve to Be Spoiled stamp set.
My second card for today featured the HiHeyHelloHowdy Word dies set, which as the name suggests has a great variety of greeting sentiments. While obviously you could pick out just one to use and add to any card, I loved how they looked all together so I decided to create a card featuring them all!
I used some Paper Pouncers to add colour to all the die cuts and then applied a bit of Twinkle Lights Silver Paper Glaze Luxe to the bottom of all the sentiments. This stuff is so beautifully sparkly photos don’t do it justice! Trust me when I say it is STUNNING!
To keep the rest of the card simple, I masked off a rectangle and used the Simple Plaid stencil to add some interest to the background. I used a light grey ink for the stencilling and after removing the stencil I lightly ink blended all over the rectangle too.
I hope you have enjoyed reading about how I created these cards and that I was able to inspire you! If you have any questions about how I created these cards please leave them in the comments and I will answer them as soon as I can. As always, I have included affiliate links where I am able to and I so appreciate you using them if you are planning on doing some shopping! It helps me keep this blog running!
