Hello my crafty friends!
I’m here to share the card I created for the July Inspiration Station Challenge. This month is all about summer and beachy themes and I now I wish I was on a beach!
The Inspiration Station Challenge
The Inspiration Station Challenge is a monthly challenge for all types of crafty projects. It starts the first Monday of each month and runs to the end of the month. Each month there is a new image to use for inspiration and it is a perfect way to jump start you creativity!
You can find all the details and link up your projects to play along on the Inspiration Station Challenge Blog!
My project
I don’t usually use patterned paper, I find it hard to incorporate it into my projects without it feeling feeling out of place. But I really loved the patterns in this Just Beachy slimline paper pack so I decided to give it a go and I really like how it turned out!
Because of the patterned paper, this card came together quickly! I used a piece of the patterned paper as the background and added my images around it to create a summery scene. The flamingo and flowers were coloured with my Ohuhu alcohol markers and I used foam tape to pop them up on the card for a little bit of dimension. To finish I added the sentiment and some various pearls from my stash for a bit of shine.
I hope you enjoyed reading about how I created this card and that you will join us at the Inspiration Station Challenge this month!
